NASA Waits to Go to the Moon
February 3, 2026 - NASA wants to send people to the Moon. But they must wait one more month.
What is happening?
Four astronauts want to fly to the Moon. Three are from America. One is from Canada.
But there is a problem. The rocket has a small hole. Gas is coming out.
NASA says: “We must fix this first.”
Why is this important?
This is a big trip. The astronauts will fly around the Moon. They will not land on the Moon. They will come back to Earth.
No one has gone to the Moon for 50 years! The last time was 1972.
What is the problem?
The rocket uses special gas. The gas is very cold. It is called hydrogen.
Hydrogen is very small. It can go through tiny holes. NASA found a hole during a test.
They also found other small problems: - A door was hard to close - Some cameras did not work - Some radios had problems
What happens next?
NASA will fix everything. Then they will do another test.
The new date is March 6, 2026. The astronauts will wait in Texas.
NASA says safety is very important. They will only fly when everything is perfect.
